Uninstalling the old ViewIQ version

  1. In the Windows search bar, type “Add or remove programs” and open these settings
  2. Search for ViewIQ
  3. Click on the three dots and then select Uninstall
  4. The ViewIQ uninstaller should now open 
  5. Follow the instructions, but when the following window opens, select Yes (it may be hidden behind the installer window)
  6. This ensures that the previous configuration is fully removed before installing the new version
  7. Complete the uninstallation 

Installing the new version of ViewIQ

  1. Run the ViewIQ-Setup-x.x.x.exe installer
  2. Follow all instructions
  3. When the installer closes, run ViewIQ from the newly created desktop icon

  1. Download the latest ViewIQ Installer from your Account at https://myxraydose.com/my-account/
  2. Run the ViewIQ-Setup-2.1.9.msi installer.
  3. Launch the ViewIQ Application. (Administrator privileges are required)
  4. On the first launch of ViewIQ you will be asked to enter:
    • Owner information.
    • Calibration standard to use
  5. Use a computer name that lets you uniquely identify which workstation you are calibrating.
  6. This information will be present at the top of calibration reports and the selected standard will be used as the criteria for all calibrations that are performed. This can be changed at any time in the settings under Display Standard and Owner Info.

  1. Select the appropriate standard
  1. Plug in X-Rite i1Display Pro (1D3 OEM version only) photometer into USB port on computer being calibrated. (Photometer and software license available from https://myxraydose.com/shop/.)
  2. Click Identify Displays to show which display corresponds to which entry in the list
  3. Click on the display that you would like to calibrate and click Start Calibration
  4. Place the glass lens side of the photometer in the center of the black square 
  1. Click Start Calibration and do not move photometer until the window closes
  2. Check results are in tolerance.
  3. Click Measure Uniformity, and follow instructions on the screen
  4. Flip diffuser over so it covers the photometer lens and place on the display facing outwards
  1. Click Measure Illuminance (lux)
  2. If this measurement results in a fail then reduce the room lighting and eliminate sources of light directly reflecting off the display.
  3. Check all measurements pass
  1. Print Report to create PDF for your records
  2. If not already done then Activate license to continue to apply calibrations past trial period.
  3. Click Exit
  4. Ensure the room lighting is maintained at a level appropriate for medical image viewing.

Tip:

The default calibration factors applied presume that the display has minimal reflections from the surface. To minimize reflections the monitor needs to be in a room with subdued lighting and no significant reflections from external windows or other bright light sources in the room.
