ViewIQ Calibration Help

Application Installation

  1. Download the software installer from https://myxraydose.com/downloads/#ViewIQCal.
  2. Run theViewIQInstall.msi installer using the default settings.
  3. An icon should appear on the desktop.
  4. Click on the icon to launch the application.

Activation of Application after Trial Period

  • Run the ViewIQCal.exe application on the workstation being calibrated
  • Click the Activate Licence button
  • Click the  Copy Key button to copy Your Key
  •  
  • Click on Log in to your Account or Purchase Activation Code
  • Log in with the username created when the software licence was purchase.
  • Click on  Licence Keys
  • Find an unused entry in the records
  • Enter a Station Description that is useful to help you identify which workstation it is
  • Paste Your Key into the CPU Key field
  •  Click Activate to generate the Activation Code
  • Click Copy to clipboard
  • Go to the ViewIQ application and paste code into the enter your Activation Code field and then click Activate.
  • The Activate button should then close and disappear and the text in the application tray should change to “Software Licenced”.
  • Find an unused entry in the records
  • Enter a Station Description that is useful to help you identify which workstation it is
  • Paste Your Key into the CPU Key field
  •  Click Activate to generate the Activation Code
  • Click Copy to clipboard
  • Go to the ViewIQ application and paste code into the enter your Activation Code field and then click Activate.
  • The Activate button should then close and disappear and the text in the application tray should change to “Software Licenced”.

Performing a Calibration

  1. Attach the X-Rite i1Display (OEM version) photometer to the computer.
  2. Click Identify Displays
  3. Change the Select Display to the number of the display to be calibrated
  4. Flip the diffusor on the photometer open so its lens is exposed. Place the photometer on the display where the number appeared. Tilt the monitor back slightly so that the photometers lens side rests gently on the display without any light gaps. Hang the photometer cable over the monitor and use counterweight on the cable to keep the photometer in position without the need to hold it. 
  5. Click  Calibrate Display
  6. Repeat steps 4 to 7 for the other monitors that need to be calibrated.
  7. Verify the display is calibrated and that the room lighting is correct by selecting the AAPM TG18QC Test Image in the drop-down list at the bottom of the application clicking Display Test Image. 

Note the default settings from are typical for a dimly lit radiology reporting area with minimal reflections from the reporting screen.
