Luminance #

Luminance is the luminous intensity per unit area projected in a given direction measured in cd/m2

The luminance graph consists of three sets of data:

  1. Measured luminance before applying calibration (purple)
  2. Calculated target luminance (green)
  3. Measured luminance after applying calibration (teal)
The number of samples for both sets of measured points can be adjusted in the settings under Measurement Settings

Contrast Response #

JND (Just-Noticeable Difference) #

Just-Noticeable Difference is the luminance difference of a given target under given viewing conditions that the average human observer can just perceive.

Colour Accuracy #

The colour accuracy graph plots the deviation in chromaticity coordinates from the measured value relative to the ideal value. The closer the points fall to the center of the X the more colour accurate the display is.

The graph plots two datasets:

  1. Measured chromaticity deviation before calibration is applied (purple)
  2. Measured chromaticity deviation after calibration is applied (teal)

In the below image the colour accuracy setting is disabled. This can be toggled in Settings > Measurement Settings
